5BB Broadband crowned market leader with fastest ISP network 2020 in Myanmar
With a top download speed of 57.97 Mbps during Q1 and Q2 2020, Myanmar’s leading telecommunications service provider has been awarded by speed testing global leader Ookla
Yangon, Myanmar, 17th August 2020 - 5BB Broadband, the service brand of Global Technology Group, has been recognized as the fastest fixed broadband network in Myanmar of 2020 by Ookla, the global leader in internet testing and analysis. 5BB achieved an outstanding Speed Score of 21.58, with a top download speed of 57.97 Mbps and a top upload speed of 43.61 Mbps.
The broadband network award is based on of the most accurate analysis by Ookla, which compared 1,539,406 consumer-initiated tests taken on Speedtest applications connected to a fixed network across Myanmar, from January to June 2020, and recognized 5BB Broadband as the country’s fastest fixed network, ahead of its competitors.
In previous years, only fastest mobile network was awarded to Myanmar. This year, they call it Fastest Fixed Network Award; 5BB Broadband surpassed all Operators and other ISPs then awarded for the first time in Myanmar for the so-called Fiber Internet.
