For the first time in the 21st century, the outbreak of COVID-19 has become one of the biggest global epidemics which has caused flights and countries to close borders to each other. As these situations happen, it has been extremely difficult for our people to help each other out during these harsh times, where even foreigners return to their own countries.

However, in Myanmar…

We may be a poor little country, but our Myanmar people always lend a hand where it is needed. In accordance with the fact that our community is very strong that if there is an emergency, the people of Myanmar will help each other, like how our 5BB Broadband is one of the organizations that made the earliest decision to participate in the prevention of COVID-19, and this has won over the hearts of our 5BB customers/users. (Or) This action has helped us put smiles on our countless 5BB users/customers.

Since the very first outbreak of COVID-19 in Myanmar, 5BB has always been there to give the necessary assistance to every Myanmar citizen. As a leading organization in technology, 5BB has accumulated information about the requirements, utilizing specialized technical assets and donated PPE suits and face masks to the needs. Through a series of challenges, 5BB donated all the essentials to more than 30 hospitals and community centers countrywide after receiving requests for assistance from hospitals and healthcare facilities around the nation as well as from local volunteers. Along with the progress, the anesthesiologists, physicians, and hospital administrators from different states reached out to us to express their requirements, and from those requests we subsequently realized that our 5BB team needed to do more. Therefore, the organization has decided to put more effort in strengthening the COVID-19 protection program.

In order to facilitate the process of transferring the COVID-related supplies to Chin State, Rakhine State, and other regions such as Sagging, Mandalay, and Yangon, we imported all of the supplies from China, America, and Japan. Moreover, we also provided technical support to the additional Paungyi covid-19 treatment center, other sanatoriums such as KanK Gaw, Padauk, and ICU wards for the deterioration of covid disease. Despite the threat of coronavirus, our tech engineers from 5BB Broadband did everything they could to install data communication networks, which are necessary to provide excellent support in COVID treatments.

For patients with general diseases being treated at Phongyi, we found out the critical need for data communication between doctors at Phongyi and well-known & experienced doctors from outside. Our 5BB team immediately addressed the issues as the doctors from Phongyi always have to make rounds to the patients, and because COVID-19 is a fast-spreading disease, if worst were to come and all doctors and health professionals were infected by COVID-19, it may be difficult to continue treating other patients. Therefore, our 5BB broadband has fulfilled the need for a modern & efficient treatment system through video communication, which is important communication between the doctor and the patient, in order to reduce the risk of the virus from infecting doctors and other people.

As for the thousands of patients who come to Phongyi COVID-19 treatment center everyday and also for the doctors treating them, 5BB has provided 24/7 nonstop unlimited data connections for essential Video Communications with their beloved family & friends to discuss their healthcare and various important activities throughout the entire day, and not only that, our 5BB team has provided other critical needs for the Phongyi COVID-19 treatment center in every possible way. In addition to that, our 5BB team has also put up with a third level of aid to those additional requests for help from the Community Base Quarantine Centers such as Inya Center and Ahlone Quarantine Centers.

Together with everyone who is using 5BB, the members of the 5BB team strive to help with the mindset that they must be the one who helps and saves our people during these tough times when the citizens of Myanmar are suffering. According to what the World Health Organization (WHO) and the health department announced, if the COVID-19 virus causes mental health issues, it will be considered a bigger threat to society.
